Who regulates it
- Ministry of Health / Methodological Center for Accreditation of Specialists (MCAS, Sechenov Univ.)
- Ministry of Health / MCAS; Roszdravnadzor (diploma recognition)

Who sits it
- Primary accreditation: Domestic graduates of specialist programmes (mandatory to practise under Federal Law 323-FZ; repeated every 5 yrs)
- Accreditation of persons with: Foreign-trained doctors (incl. Russians/CIS nationals trained abroad); applies equally to pharmacists, dentists, nurses
